In the month of February, one of the central themes is usually love in general: people talk about romantic love, friendship, family, and, more recently, self-love.

We see it in advertising, social media, movies, and shops even in activities at our workplaces or within our close circles.

The fact is that connecting with others and with ourselves is of great importance, and this month's activities can offer an opportunity to gain perspective on how satisfied we are with these connections and identify areas for improvement and growth.

This work and commitment, however, prove especially rewarding when undertaken with our own priorities, values, and needs in mind, rather than based on external pressure or the expectations of others.

During the course of an illness, our relationship with ourselves and our support networks can be affected in various ways; some relationships may drift apart, while others, conversely, become much closer.

Our perspective on various situations, just like our order of priorities, can change.

In this regard, the question may arise as to how to cultivate this respect, love, and care for ourselves first and foremost throughout the course of an illness.
